Fritzi

Fritzi arrived to the shelter in a bad condition, with his ears being almost fully covered with necrotic tissue, but the veterinary did not give up, and said we will do our best to treat his ears and save all we can! And Fritzi indeed started healing every day more and more, now his ears are almost completely healed, with his condition becoming a distant memory! Fritzi also was of course very scared when he arrived to us, and he even managed to escape during his walk with a volunteer in the first days, but we were so happy to catch him again the next day, and bring him back to the shelter to safety. Fritzi has been recovering in our volunteers caring arms both physically and mentally, and joining a group of dogs really helped him come out of his shell and become more cheerful and trusting. Fritzi will still need lots of time and patience, but he is slowly now ready for his forever home or for a foster home, and in best case scenario he would join a home where there is already one or more dogs living. Other dogs will help him get used to a new situation and build trust and confidence faster! Coming from a world of abandonment and neglect, Fritzi of course has not been protected against ticks, flies or parasites, and he is positive for the Mediterranean condition Leishmaniosis, which is under successful treatment, and he would travel to his new home with the very affordable medication Alupurinol. His shoulder height is approximately 57cm.
